About Bestwood Lodge

Bestwood Lodge is a beautiful Nottinghamshire wedding venue. What was formerly a Victorian lodge is now the venue of dreams, perfect for a grand celebration or an intimate occasion. Nestled in the Bestwood Country Park, this setting is defined by roaming acres of land and gorgeous tall woodland features. Historically referenced as a hunting preserve of Kings and Queens since King Henry I, this location is traditional and timeless. Since the Lodge’s completion in 1863, its gothic style and rustic feel have delighted guests.

The Gothic Chapel, with its oak panelled walls, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and an enchanting minstrels’ gallery, is a unique venue for a civil ceremony or an intimate wedding reception. The adjacent Conservatory is ideal for receiving guests.

The Ballroom has a beautiful, early Victorian character interior. With high ceilings, glistening chandeliers and large, elegantly draped windows, it is the perfect setting for your wedding and boasts incredible views over the beautiful parkland. The large terrace, which overlooks the country park, is an ideal setting for reception drinks and those all-important wedding photographs.

The Restaurant imbues a warm and elegant atmosphere with its charming décor, unique hand painted ceiling and Gothic arches. The Foyer Bar with its oak panelled walls and grand open log fire is ideal for receiving your guests. Alternatively, reception drinks can be held on the terrace overlooking the rose garden and stunning parkland.
