We had our wedding here in February 2025. From the moment we booked, Danny and the team couldn't be anymore helpful. To say I was a Bridezilla... is an understatement... Danny was always available by email or phone to answer questions when he was on shift. We were offered a tasting experience, which we opted for and took along some other people from the top table (they were only charged £25 for the 3 courses, while we got it free). The food was exquisite, and the portions were huge. This was also reflected on the wedding breakfast!!! The food was a hit. Danny was there on the day to make sure everything was perfect and went without a hitch. The whole team were amazing on the day and couldn't have done anything better for us; calling us sir and madam all day did make us giggle. Thank you. AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY.

Great Hotel / Great Staff / Lovely surroundings / Wedding perfect !! What a lovely hotel. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming . Very clean and comfortable. Peaceful surroundings and just a beautiful place altogether. Danny was our main point of call and he was brilliant with us from start to finish . We actually got married here on 28th September 2024 and we couldn't have asked for anymore. We would highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely lovely hotel! Great. Staff We stayed at the burn hotel for a wedding, the hotel is absolutely beautiful! And the staff are incredible!The hotel as a wedding venue is stunning! Very picturesque, and a great place!The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable!The staff were so lovely! Nothing was too much! Very friendly making sure you was ok! I unfortunately was rushed to hospital on our departure date and being a king way from home I was worried about my husband and when he would stay he returned to the hotel and they really looked after him! Taking the time to ask how I was, and just making sure he was ok! It’s the little things that matter! When we are in York again we will definitely be returning and will be recommending This hotel to others

Dream Wedding On the 18th of May this year Burn Hall Hotel made my dream wedding happen. Everything about the day was amazing. The staff couldn't have done more for us and the food was impeccable. Danny deserves a special mention as he made sure that everything ran smoothly, even with some very trying guests. The memories of my wedding will always be filled with love and lots of laughter and this is down Burn Hall, not only amazing staff but also its beautiful grounds. Mr and Mrs R.

Wedding well done We attended a family wedding at Burn Hall and were impressed by the excellent way everything was handled and the food supplied (Though if you do not have large appetites beware they will err on the side of huge servings) Their charges were reduced as we were part of the wedding but their standard rates look more than fair for a good short break. Well done to all the staff who were professional but also friendly, Thanks we really enjoyed the weekend and would stay again if in the area.

Best wedding ever My husband and I recently got married at this hotel and we could not fault any single member of staff even slightly. The food we were served was absolutely fantastic. The wedding coordinator- Danny was amazing; from us booking to the last second of his shift! Thank you so so much for accommodating our wedding and helping to make it an amazing day.

Amazing wedding Amazing 💍Had my wedding at burn hall yesterday 1st July 2023, what an amazing day. Danny (wedding planner) absolutely amazing couldn’t fault him from the day we met him and looked round, and on the day wow everything ran so smooth thanks to him. Food was delicious (huge portions though) family members comment was that he went to a Michelin star restaurant the week but this was so much better. Staff were lovely would definitely recommend

All round enjoyable stay. Some of the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered. Stayed for a family wedding and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable, dining was a treat. Hope to stay again in the future.

Fantastic hotel, restaurant and Wedding venue Rooms- Lovely clean rooms, as it was our wedding we had a suite, the hotel booked it for 2 nights for me and it was great to be able to have guests visit into the lounge area, while keeping the privacy of the bedroom, and my wedding dress out of sight. The bathroom lighting style made the room a little dark, but this was only a minor issue for us. Restaurant- The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. We had 5-8 meals at the hotel including our taster menu, pizzas at meetings, afternoon teas, evening meal prior to the wedding and the wedding breakfast, and so many of our guests complimented the food and menu choices. Sometimes when you are delivering catering on a large scale the quality gets lost, but at Burn Hall this certainly is not the case. We would absolutely go back for a meal again when in the area. Function Room- we were lucky that the room wasn't in use the day before so were able to set everything up ourselves, however the staff were always on hand should we require assistance. For example we were lent a trolley from the kitchen to whisk everything out to the car the morning after the wedding to allow the next wedding to set up quicker. Staff- Danny the wedding and events coordinator was fabulous, questions were answered promptly even when working from home due to covid and the furlough scheme. On the day of the wedding all the little last minute details were handled with care and attention. When we visited for meetings we always felt listened to and felt happy with the service. We asked to give our guests a choice of two meals, although the preference is only one, because of how we managed this process the hotel were happy to oblige (a really comprehensive spreadsheet is a winner). Stuart the bar manager was amazing we didn't have to worry about our daughter ordering a drink, as he knew exactly what she wanted each time and who it was for. This made a really nice touch, especially when he brought her a drink at breakfast the next day to her specification without seeing her first (blackcurrant with a straw) Restaurant staff- really helpful and prompt service, happy to help with any questions, and tweak meals to fussy eaters. Parking- extensive parking all around the hotel, not just the main car park to the left of the main reception doors (as you face the doors) Birds of Prey centre- to the rear of the hotel is a fantastic place to visit if you have children, they were booked to do a flying display at our wedding unfortunately due to the weather this wasn't possible, but they did bring 2 owls and the golden eagle down to the hotel for our guests to hold and experience, another great talking point. The hotel also communicated with them on our behalf during the day. We felt all of our wedding was good value for money, and everyone had a truly memorable day.
