What can we say, Bury Manor Barn is the best wedding venue with professional, friendly and helpful staff! We had the best experience leading up to the wedding, we went to multiple showcases which really helped us to imagine our own wedding and get ideas. The recommendations for suppliers were absolutely spot on and made the day so special. We got married in the church and they were so friendly and welcoming. We had the most amazing day and we were just so lucky with the weather, the sun shone and many guests said it was like they were abroad for a day! It made it even better that our dog Bertie could come for part of it! The grounds are picturesque and there are so many photo opportunities. Finally, the staff at Bury Manor Barn are amazing, they made the planning much easier up until the final day. On the day Gemma was absolutely brilliant and can’t fault her. All in all, thank you Bury Manor Barn for making our day that extra special.

The venue is absolutely stunning. The lady that organised it was just amazing. The food was delicious, waiters/waitresses were very attentive. Our photographer was just the best, I would most definitely use her again. The whole atmosphere was just amazing. Thank you all so much for making my daughters day so very special. Could not recommend this venue more. From the outset Julie was so helpful and on the actual day itself Sarah and Lucy went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly so we didn’t really have to think about anything! The space is absolutely stunning with beautiful views over the South Downs, the two barns are ideal for the wedding breakfast and party afterwards – seamlessly moving across from one to the other. Everyone was so complementary about how well organised the day was, and that was definitely down to the BMB team’s expertise and their brilliant recommended suppliers. Couldn’t have asked for more!

We had the most incredible day, it was completely epic from start to finish! So many of our guests have said it’s the best wedding they’ve been to, so thank you so much for your part in that. Julie, Gemma and the team were very flexible and so easy to contact, open and honest throughout our planning. It was never stressful working with them! They had some great contacts and links with suppliers include Jane from Forge Flowers (gorgeous flowers) and Eat the Street Caterers/ place settings for all the tablescaping and trestle table dreams!

Not only is Bury Manor Barn an absolutely stunning venue but Julie, Gemma and team running weddings are the most likeable, reasonable and professional individuals! Our wedding here in April 2023 was absolutely perfect, we knew after visiting many venues that this was absolutely the one for us, the combination of spectacular views, beautiful grounds and a large spacious barn divided into 2 met all of our requirements for the day. Unlike many other venues we had the flexibility to come in the day before for set-up which was lovely for us as we wanted a very hands-on wedding as well as come back at a leisurely pace the next day for picking up items. The team here are just outstanding, Julie’s responsiveness and her succinct communication style is commendable, even replying to me on Easter Monday to a few quick questions. Gemma was absolutely perfect on the day (well worth paying the extra for a venue coordinator!), she had an eye over everything to make sure it went smoothly and even in the morning acted as a go-between between myself and my partner to share little snippets of how the other one was doing which was a really sweet touch. For anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a team that’s accommodating, flexible and genuinely dedicated to giving you the most perfect day, look no further.

The barn and grounds are beautiful and the views stunning. We had a wonderful wedding day, and really appreciated that we could DIY as much as we wanted, as we could access the venue the evening before and morning after. The team are really helpful, having someone from Bury on site all day is really nice, and we appreciated how they coordinated the timings for suppliers to ensure the set up and day went smoothly.

From arranging our first viewing, to fantastic on-the-day support, Julie and the Bury Manor Barn team have been sensational. The venue itself is beautiful and yet very functional too, with all the space you need to have an amazing wedding day. We were particularly drawn to BMB due to St John’s church being practically on-site, as we wanted a church wedding but the options for civil ceremonies are equally stunning. So many of our guests commented on how great the venue was and it really made our day so special. Our on-the-day coordinator, Sarah, was excellent and went above and beyond to smooth out any minor hiccups or decisions that needed to be made when me and my husband couldn’t be there ourselves (e.g the location of our drink reception was weather dependent) We cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work and support, you made our wedding day the best day of our lives. 5 stars doesn’t seem high enough!

We had our wedding at Bury Manor Barn in October 2024. From first contact they were fantastic. Easy to communicate with, happy to organise visits to the venue. It is a school and so is organised around school times, but this was never an issue. The venue is absolutely beautiful and incredible value for money compared to other local wedding barns! And was easily the most beautiful we had visited. They helped to direct us to caterers, bars, table/chair hire etc, but weren’t at all precious when we asked to use someone else – they second vetted the company for us which was super helpful. Leading up to the wedding we had a plan of the day organised by the venue with all our different vendors details on. The venue also contacted them for us too and just made sure everything was organised. For us everything felt pretty effortless. The 2 wedding co ordinators we had assigned to us on the day were fantastic. Really relaxed, but also kept the day beautifully organised. They just made everything feel so special, and just let us feel like we could decorate and do things the way we wanted to. We got married in the inner barn, the girls lit the fire for us and it was just so perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough! We want to do it all over again!

As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing a wedding at this venue today, and I must say, it is by far the most picturesque barn I have ever worked in. With its charming nooks and stunning backdrop, it’s a treasure trove for enchanting photographs. From the river, the barn and the adjacent school building resemble a magnificent castle. My experience here was thoroughly enjoyable, and the photos turned out stunning. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any couple seeking something beyond the typical barn setting.

Bury Manor Barn was our dream venue and we had a beautiful wedding day. The views are stunning, we were lucky to have great weather so managed to make use of all the outside areas. The inside space was spacious even for a large number of guests. Julie and Gemma were great from the start, always ready to help and helped organise things behind the scenes. All our guests had a fantastic time and a few are hoping to book their future weddings at BMB too!

This was the 3rd (last but definitely not least) venue we viewed in person, from countless venues we researched online and we fell in love with it immediately! The outdoor views with the ampitheatre and overlooking the hills were absolutely stunning. There are 2 separate barns (Inner and Outer barn) which cohesively separated the dining space and the dancing space and the interiors are so pretty and rustic, not much decorations were needed! Julie was amazing, accommodating and very responsive throughout. Gemma and Sarah – the inhouse on the day wedding coordinators were also so great and lovely to us since first contact. Overall Bury Manor Barn was the wedding reception of our dreams and both myself and my husband truly enjoyed ourselves and basked in how beautiful this venue was

Bury Manor Barn was the location of my wedding day on 7th September 2024. The staff that run the venue are absolutely incredible and, of course, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Although the weather prevented us being able to hold our ceremony outdoors as planned – the team worked with us to the last minute to give us every chance and the plan b) option we prepared ran absolutely perfectly. I would recommend this venue and its staff to anybody and thank the team for turning our half baked vision of a wedding day into a better than imagined reality

We absolutely loved our day, it was so special and the venue just added to it. It really is a stunning venue and we loved that we could enjoy our day there! From meeting you back in November to the day itself you and your team were so open in their communication in helping us to prepare. Every step of the way you helped us with recommendations and advice that was so key in the planning. And on the day itself the team were just superb making it run smoothly, organising the different vendors and being a friendly face to our guests. We’ve had great feedback since the wedding of how good the bury staff were during the entire day. The barn speaks for itself, so beautiful and allows so much flexibility with decoration to allow our wedding vision come to life. Being nestled in the South Downs means you get not only the beauty but the tranquillity and privacy to allow you to enjoy your wedding day with those you love the most. We hired Bury Manor Barn for our wedding and had the most amazing day. Julie, Gemma and Sarah are all amazing and nothing was too much. The venue is flexible and allows you to bring your own alcohol for the day with no corkage which saved us tons! We had a bit of rain for part of the day so having the covered terrace was ideal and still meant we could take advantage of the amazing views. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to book their wedding or event.

We had our hearts set on an outdoor wedding but wanted a venue where the indoor option was still beautiful if it rained. It did rain, and it was still perfect as the indoor spaces are equally amazing. The team at Bury Manor Barn were also incredible, nothing was too much trouble and they helped make our day run so smoothly! All our guests commented on how lovely the venue was too and we would highly recommend it!

We celebrated our wedding at Bury Manor Barn on the 1st June 2024, and it was the most incredible day! All of our guests raved about how wonderful the venue was and could not get over the views across the river! The grounds were beautiful, and the two sections of the barn make is so convenient for the party, as you don’t have to wait for any of the rooms to be turned around between different parts of the day. I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue more, having the opportunity to come in the day before was also fantastic, as it meant we could do all the decoration and set up ourselves, which turned out to be a really fun part of the wedding prep, with our families there to help us. On the day, everything went exactly as planned, and the co-ordinators at the venue were there to help with anything we needed! Nothing was too much to ask! They were also a massive help with the clear up the next day!

This is the most magical venue. Views of the south downs, on the river, 12th century buildings..what more could you want?! The event staff are super helpful and made sure everything went seamlessly.
