About Great Betley Farmhouse

Welcome to Great Betley Farmhouse! This West Sussex wedding venue is a beautiful blank canvas where you can truly have your day, your way - no cookie cutter weddings here! The uninterrupted views from the event fields towards the South Downs are spectacular and make a perfect backdrop for the most special of celebrations. 

In addition to the 5 acres spread over two connecting fields, there are two well maintained lawns either end of the pond which can be used for a celebrant ceremony and/or a canapé reception before the main event on the field. Four double bedrooms on a B&B basis are ideal for anyone who needs them, and there's masses of space for guests to glamp/camp.

The choice of marquee is entirely yours, whether your dream is for traditional, rustic or tipi. Your celebrations should be as unique as you are as a couple. When you work with us here at Great Betley Farmhouse we will help you to have the wedding of your dreams.

At this stunning Sussex wedding venue we can cater for wedding parties of all sizes whether a small intimate gathering is your choice or a large festival style celebration. We also fully support LGBT weddings.

We are lucky enough to work with some of this amazing region's best wedding and event suppliers. Suppliers that we have a sound history of working with, that have been recommended to us by fellow suppliers, and who we know will share our Great Betley environmentally friendly ethos.     5-stars all the way! We struggled for ages to find a venue was well-priced and allowed us the flexibility to have exactly the wedding we wanted. This place was a true gem in what is frankly a mind-bogglingly complex wedding venue world. Kim (the host) is amazing not only in the build and preparation of the event but also on the actual day. She helped with the big and small things and added a personal touch to our wedding that would be difficult to recreate at bigger venues. We had the most amazing wedding here and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good value but excellent service.

    We hired the beautiful Great Betley Farmhouse as our wedding venue in June. We visited the site in October 2021, and Kim was so thorough in explaining what we would have available as part of the package, very welcoming and so laid back in nature that before we left site we said "yes please!" to having this as our wedding venue. Kim proceeded to be so supportive in the whole wedding planning process, she held dates as we worked details with vendors, she was always responsive to emails; she was proactive in asking for vendor details to support their entry to site for set-up/takedown; flexible in allowing us to create our own wedding vision and extremely hospitable during our stay from start to finish. Kim even helped with suggesting vendors she knew of and were reliable! We can't thank you enough Kim! We had a day that we will never forget!

    Thanks to Kim and Great Betley Farmhouse for making our wedding the best day of our lives. The venue more than exceeded our expectations, with the open views of the Downs, beautiful views across the pond to wild farm fields around the barns. We had the flexibility to really make it our own, feel personal and private. Most of all it really felt like a home from home, from Kim's hospitality staying over in the farmhouse for our close family to providing a gourmet dinner for the bridal party the night before the wedding. It was a pleasure to have Kim's support pulling the wedding together and relaxing to work with an organised friendly venue. Thanks so much, can we do it all over again!

    Kim was fabulous from our first meeting, was so kind and warm and so helpful all the way through to our Big Day. Great Betley is a very special place and we knew as soon as we pulled up in the car that we had found our dream venue. Kim went above and beyond to help and she and Vicki were amazing on the day with our last minute change of plans because of the weather.     What a ride! As soon as we turned up at Great Betley Farmhouse in January 2022 we knew it was where we would celebrate our marriage in the summer. The place speaks for itself, it's a beautiful blank canvas with an incredible set up and picturesque backdrops, but more importantly Kim, the owner, really made us feel at ease and like we could be ourselves which is what you want when you get married. She's all over how own organisation and was so helpful in the run up and on the day. The day itself was unbelievable, the sun shones, the place looked spectacular, and our guests had an unforgettable time. We couldn't recomment Kim and Great Betley Farmhouse more highly. The commections with suppliers was brilliant and it just felt like we were having a huge party in our own garden! Thanks Kim :-) x

    As soon as we pulled up to the farmhouse I knew this was the perfect venue. The grounds are so beautiful and just what we wanted for our festival style wedding. There are two separate fields which we used as a party field and a camping field so people could go to bed or stay as they pleased. Ample parking for visitors not staying and easy to find. Kim herself was incredible in helping with overseeing and meeting the contractors where would couldn't be on site and helped with any oversights. She was really friendly and was a great hellp. We had the most amazing day and could not recommend Great Betley Farm enough!
