We got married at Grittleton House on the 25th of May 2023 and wow did it impress. From the moment we 1st visited to the day of our wedding Grittleton did not disappoint. All of our guests were suitably wowed and commented how beautiful it was. Emma the wedding planner was amazing throughout, she kept us informed, responded to questions very quickly and explained everything throughout. Vanessa and Matthew were so welcoming and super accommodating. We had the best day of our lives thanks to Grittleton and all the amazing suppliers. A huge thanks to you all.

Wow what can we say about Grittleton! We had the most perfect day. We fell in love with Grittleton as soon as we drove up the drive back in Jan 2020. Unbeknownst to us our chosen date of October 2020 wouldn’t go ahead. Emma made each postponement (we had a few) seamless. It could have been a very stressful time, but Emma & the owners kept us updated throughout lockdown. When our time finally come in April 2023 the house was even shiner than before with newly renovated rooms. They made you feel like it’s your home for the day. We had a lot of out-of-town guests and they all commented on how amazing the house was. Nelson & the team were fantastic, they answered all questions & were on hand to help with our 11-month-old daughter who was napping in her buggy they kept an eye on her whilst the speeches had begun & informed us when she was awake. We would highly recommend this venue to any newly engaged couples. Not only is the house beautiful but the knowledge Emma has to help you to plan your perfect wedding is invaluable. If you want a personalised service in a stunning house with amazing gardens this is the place for you.

Grittleton House is simply magical. It’s been one month since our wedding here and I still can’t believe how lucky we were to find such a perfect venue. From the moment we drove down the breathtaking driveway and saw the House in all its glory, the feeling that Rory and I got could not be matched anywhere else. It was our very own castle perfect for a Scottish winter wedding and especially appealing to a Harry Potter fan such as myself! My main criteria when looking for where to get married was somewhere with beautiful stairs where I could live out my Beauty and the Beast, Belle waking down the stairs, childhood fantasy. Grittleton House has the most beautiful stairs I have ever seen and the photos are simply gorgeous. The whole interior of the house is stunning. You could spend days gazing up at the ceilings and every time we visited, I saw something else which made me fall in love with it all over again. You have your free choice of all the rooms and we stayed the night before and the night of in the most amazing rooms upstairs. It felt like it was ours for those 2 days and our guests could not believe how beautiful it was. The food was delicious and the drinks and bar had all my favourites, served quickly and efficiently. The staff are amazing here; Emma and her team are fantastic and I cannot speak highly enough of them. They give you the freedom to plan your day how you wish whilst also being extremely helpful- especially when we had to make some last minute tweaks! It was worth every single penny we spent on it and I only wish that we could do it all over again!

Grittleton House is a magical place! We got married here in October and everything was perfect. It was the first venue we visited as part of our wedding research and we knew immediately that it was the one. Our guests were bowled over by the house and its many beautiful rooms, which the team cleverly revealed at various points throughout the day. We had so many people comment on how much they loved the venue, asking how we found it and suggesting it was among the best wedding venues they had ever been to. One guest remarked, “Move over Downton Abbey!” The food was also excellent and plentiful - genuinely the biggest portion sizes we’ve ever seen! Having the option to stay on site in both the main house and converted stables meant we were able to provide accommodation for around 60 guests overnight. Emma, Nelson, Vanessa and the rest of the team were fantastic from start to finish, ensuring we felt well looked after from the very first visit to the day after the wedding. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone in search of a traditional country manor with the extra wow factor. Thank you so much for helping to bring our dream wedding to life.

I can't find the right words to explain how perfect Grittleton house has been. The venue alone is absolutely spectacular, we have had so many guests comment on what a beautiful place it is. The different rooms provide so much functionality and really gives a homely feel to the day as it's all under one roof. Our grandparents loved being able to sit in the library and chat away peacefully whilst the party was taking place in another room. As a food lover we can also say that the food was brilliant. We have since had so many people comment on how tasty it was and how the service was so seamless. The timings were spot on. Emma, Vanessa, Nelson and the rest of the Grittleton team were amazing from the moment we booked our wedding to the actual day. They made sure everything went smoothly and there really is not one thing that could be faulted, thank you! Grittleton house is a very special place to Chlo and I, and although we are lucky that it is so close to home we will miss not being able to pop in and just appreciate how stunning the place really is.
