We’d love to let the historic grandeur of our stunning hall, complete with original beams, elegantly piped windows and attractive courtyard, make your moment even more memorable and lend its remarkable past to the celebration of your future.

Built between 1529 and 1531 the Hall began its life as part of a boy’s grammar and music school and has been lovingly and expertly maintained and updated to become the beautiful venue for both ceremonies and receptions it is today.

Walk beneath a charming archway, through our authentic timber door into your new life together. An impressive stone welcome chamber will lead you on to the courtyard, a fantastic green space with an expansive patio ripe with possibilities, from croquet to a barbeque or an outdoor bar or hog roast.

The Hall itself is handsome and vast, adorned with high ceilings and original beams and seating 100 for ceremonies and for receptions, either 104 banquet style or 85 on round tables. These are complemented with tall, elegantly piped windows which let the sun or moonlight stream through, creating the perfect ambience for your day or evening reception.

The Tudor Hall is the ideal canvas on which to realise your dream setting. Hugely versatile, it can easily fill the role of rustic barn or elegant banquet hall, medieval court or sophisticated blend of traditional charm and modern style. The beauty of the space is that it is also stunning even without embellishment so is also ideal for couples who crave a ready-made, relaxed but characterful venue.
